Tour Sofia and Vitosha Mountain
		9.30 or 10.00 – Sveta Nedelya Square, which is not only the center of the Roman city of Serdica, but is a unique place too where operating temples of the four most widespread religions coexist peacefully. The walk leads to Roman ruins and after that like a time machine moves the guests into the end of 19th century, when the majority of the buildings in Bulgarian capital’s center had been constructed. And than again brings one deep into the past to the Early Christian Basilica of saint Sofia, which has given the nowadays name of the city and makes him emerge into 20th century to visit Saint Alexander Nevski Cathedral, connected to both medieval history of Bulgaria and restoration of Bulgarian State in late 19th century. 12.30 – 14.00 – Lunch in Bulgarian folk restaurant with traditional dishes in the outskirts of Vitosha Mountain. 14.00 – 15.00 – Visit to Saint Virgin of Vitosha Dragalevtzi Convent. Nestling in the powerful bosom of Vitosha Mountain, the highest one in the circle surrounding Sofia, Dragalevtsi Convent is among that little number of monasteries in Europe with known date of foundation. According to medieval chronicles it is 1345. The most interesting preserved frescos were made in 1476; among them The Folding of Sky scene is exclusively valuable. It is a roll of paper with the sun, the moon, the stars and zodiac signs painted on it. 15.00 – 17.00 – Walk in the highest part of Vitosha Mountain, which is the first Natural Park in Bulgaria. Here, on the slopes of this dead volcano the famous stone rivers are still “running”, and standing on 2290 m high Cherni Vrah Pick one can enjoy a wonderful panorama of Sofia Valley. 17.00 – 18.00 – Return to Sofia.
